WP Touch
Essential Plugin
If you aren’t using the WP Touch plugin on your WordPress blog, I have to ask you, Why Not?
It’s a free plugin that optimises your WordPress blog for iPhones, ipads, tablets and smart phones. There is no need to buy another theme or work out how to optimise your website for mobile devices, this plugin does it all for you. Quick, simple and easy to install.
With more and more users using mobile devices to search the web, not having WP Touch on your blog is crazy. It takes a full size website and condenses it so that readers can easily see what’s on your site on their mobile phone or tablet.
You can see how it looks on my monitor:

and my site on my mobile.
There is no loss of information and images show up without problem.

Another great option with WP Touch is that you can put your Adsense code in and anyone clicking an add on a mobile device will be recorded for you
I’ve got WP Touch on every single blog I own and I plan to keep on adding it to every new site I buy.
Are you using WP Touch?

Blogging for Free Part 4 - Settings
My previous posts in my Blogging for Free Series was concerned with getting out your first post. You are excited and passionate, you want to share with the world and just wanted to post and do it !!!
Now that’s out of your system, lets look at one of the most essential things to do when you start blogging. You need to set up your Settings for your blog.
For most blogs, you do this when you create it and then it’s done. You rarely need to go back and change your settings however I do recommend going and checking from time to time.
I once somehow set my blog to “do not show to search engines” and to this day I have no idea what I did to make that happen. There’s no need to be paranoid about it, just every now and then, look and know it’s correct.
How to Set Up Your Settings
Settings are on the left hand side of your wordpress.com site, right at the end of the links there. I suggest you work through each category with me as I go through them and choose the settings that you want. [click to continue…]
